Carbon Monoxide Radio Marko Vovk Guest Speaker on “A Better World Radio” with Mitchell J. Rabin

This slide show was a small six minute segment from a 60 minute show that aired on 5-29-13 on carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon monoxide low level poisoning. To listen to the full 70 minute radio show, the link has been providing below. During the begging of this CO slide show segment, Mitchell J Rabin is speaking about the dangers of methane. The first set of slides is Marko Vovk’s symbolic interpretation of the dangers of methane. The photos show a strip center that was built on an old garbage dump in Garfield Heights Ohio. Marko Vovk has been photographing this site for the last 8 years. The parking lots have moved and settled roughly 20 inches. The garbage below is slowly turning into methane gas. Most of the strip center box tenants have left and most buildings are empty. The show takes a 90 degree turn and starts to discuss carbon monoxide problems with furnaces and hot water heaters. Below is some good information on Carbon Monoxide CO in you home. Please rate and subscribe to my Youtube Channel.
WHAT ARE SOME VISUAL SYMPTOMS OF CARBON MONOXIDE?
Absence of an upward draft in your chimney. Excess moisture found on windows, walls, or other cold surfaces. Excessive rusting on flue pipes, other pipe connections, or appliance jacks. Orange or yellow flames (should be blue) in your combustion appliances. Smoky smells. Do not assume your fire alarm works. Fallen soot in the fireplace. Small amount of water leaking from the base of the chimney, vent, or flue pipe. Damaged or discolored bricks at the top of your chimney. Rust on the portion of the vent pipe visible from the outside. Streaks of soot around fuel-burning appliances. You feel better when you are away from your home. Several people in the home get sick at the same time (the flu is usually passed from person to person). The family members who are most affected spends the most time in the home. Symptoms occur or get worse shortly after turning on a fuel-burning device (furnace, oven, and fireplace) or running a vehicle in attached garage. Indoor pets also are ill. (Human flu viruses are not transmitted to pets.) You do not have generalized aching, low-grade fever, or swollen lymph nodes. (These are typical of a cold or flu.) Symptoms appear at the same time as signs (described below) of inappropriate ventilation, maintenance, or operation of fuel-burning devices.
