Avon House Inspector Marko Vovk Home Inspection Cleveland Ohio

Avon Ohio a Westside suburb is located in Lorain County has a population of 22, 000 people. Although Avon Ohio has some older homes, it mostly consists of newer home built from late 1980’s and up until today. The following; are some house items that you should be looking for when purchasing a home in Avon Ohio. Many of the Avon homes have sump pumps that must work or basements may flood. Inspection the sump pump, back-up and cover are very important. Many of the homes were built during the 1996 -2003 housing boom were very tight with limited house air exchanges. Inspecting for moisture intrusion, potential condensation, odors, and HVAC is critical. Some of the possible building methods used for example; not using Tyvek behind vinyl siding, the potential installation of plastic vapor barriers behind drywall, and the introduction of ventless fireplaces must be though ally evaluated for moisture intrusion, potential condensation conditions and even air quality.
Some of the Avon homes also have siding material such as EIFS, Cultured Stone, Composite fiber, and Hardy board so the exterior siding inspection is also extremely important. Numerous homes have also been found to have radon levels of 4 PC or greater so Radon testing makes since. Additionally the older Avon homes may have other numerous maintenance conditions that your home inspector will identify. ARE YOU READY TO DIE Euclid Square Mall will Save YOU

ARE YOU READY TO DIE Euclid Square Mall will Save YOU
The American Malls are closing and turning into Ghost Malls due economic hardship, recession, greedy developers, and city planners who build unnecessary shopping mega centers. Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk inspects and visits one of America’s 400 and Ghost roof covered malls that have been recently resurrected in the city of Euclid Ohio.
On Sunday mornings hundreds even possibly thousands of Americans who still have faith, hope, and believe in god come and hear gospel music, pastors sermons and organs playing. When you walk through the Euclid Square Mall, you can hear the word of god being spoken by over 30 different preachers, priests, evangelists, and bible readers who have leased mall space. God could have visited the other 400 closed Ghost Malls that exist throughout the USA, but he chooses to save and resurrect the Ohio Euclid Square Mall.
In 1977, Euclid Square Mall housed 99 stores on 71 acres. The May Co Higbee’s, Dillard’s, and Kaufmann’s were some of the larger stores. Tenants started leaving in the late 1990’s with the final tenant leaving in 2003. The Euclid Square Mall became depressed, vacant, and almost abandoned mall due to large outlet stores leaving, employee merchandise theft, and the public choosing open mall shopping instead of roof covered mall shopping, and competition from other surrounding malls. For almost a decade, the mall lost it soul and lost its sprit.
It’s a miracle that during these times when bishops are closing churches all over the USA, people are choosing Sunday TV sports over the word of god, the government who continues to take faith out our schools workplace and lives, and finally, the general population which appears to be believing less and less, that a large Mall has been converted into a large mega church.

The Wizard of OZ Kansas Dorothy’s House Mystery Finally Solved

“The Wizard of OZ” Kansas mystery finally solved by Cleveland Home inspector Marko Vovk, and Cleveland Heights House Inspector Jim Nemastil. Forensic photographic interpretation of an old historical 1939 photo taken of Dorothy’s home when it fell from the sky and crash landed was determined to be very similar to the Late outlaw Jesse James’s Kansas home. The Cleveland, Ohio home inspector team also known in the USA as “The Jim and Marko Show” flew to Kansas City to find, investigate, and determine why Dorothy’s home pulled and detached from its foundation. The two residential forensic investigators drove from town to town and traveled though Weston, Ozawkie, and Valley Falls, looking for the wizard hoping to get some information. Reaching a dead end, the two experience house experts who have both been inspecting homes for over 25 years each, decided to travel the country side in search of the Scarecrow. They went through many farmers wheat, soy and corn fields looking for the scar crow. After searching may fields, towns, and hail bay storage areas, the scarecrow was not found, so they went to Mclouth to look for the Tin Man. They visited the famous Mclouth tractor fair thinking the Tin Man might be hanging out with all the old buddy’s tractors. They did find the Tin Mans second cousin that had his equipment pointing into the direction of Troy City Kansas. After driving though many neighborhoods in and around Troy, the forensic inspectors finally found Dorothy’s home. The city permitted Jim and Marko to excavate under the homes foundation slab. During the tunneling, the investigators found subterranean termite shelter tubes and determined that termites consumed Dorothy’s wood foundation sill plates. The house steel anchor bolts could no longer hold the home down to its foundation because the subterranean termites consumed the wood sill plates. The 1939 Kansas City tornado lifted the house into the sky because the house anchor bolts were no longer functional. So the Wizard of OZ mystery has now been solved. Dorothy lived near Troy Kansas and termites devoured and consumed her structural house holding down sill plate. Please rate and subscribe. More real house information can be seen at http://

Cute Fuzzy Squirrel Dies a Horrible Death by Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk

Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk tells a story about a cute little fuzzy squire that died a horrible death.
Once upon a time, a squirrel found a nice hole in the side of the nice house. The cute little fuzzy squirrel climbed into this hole and followed the long dark tunnel to a big cave. The squirrel loved the new cave because it had a lot of other tunnels. One day while in the new cave, the cute little squirrel found a small hole in one of the tunnels. He squeezed and squeezed until he fell through this little hole. He fell into a big stone floor playground. The happy little squirrel ran around the newly discovered playground and look out the windows to see all his fuzzy buddy squirrels. After running around the new playground, the happy little squirrel became thirsty and hungry. He looks, looked, and could not find the small hole than lead back into the tunnel. He could not get out of his playground. He could only look outside the steel screened window. To the outside had screens. The happy little squall wasn’t happy anymore so he staved, became skinny, died and now he is a dead mummy squirrel.

Ok here is what happened. The not so smart HVAC contractor added a cold air return register to the exterior of the home. This would suck in fresh air from the exterior. This inspallaion probably doubled the house utilty bills. The exterior cold air return vent screen cover rusted out and aloud a squirrel to enter. The squire ran around inside the cold air return ductwork. The squirrel found a hole in the cold air return ductwork which was really an oversized bathroom plumbing penetration. The squirrel fell into the vented crawl space that existed under part of the home. The squirrel could not get out because all the vent screens were intact. He was stuck in his new jail cell. He starved to death. The end. This is Marko Vovk. Please rate and subscribe. You can also become a member of my website http://

Furnace HVAC Plumbers can Kill People Part 2 by Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk

Furnace repair men, HVAC technicians, and plumbers can kill people part 1 was released five years ago by “Cleveland Home Inspector” Marko Vovk. Since that video, thousands of US HVAC contractors went back to school and became combustion certified and now these HVAC contractors actually save peoples lives. This part 2 video is truly amazing. If you are going to put your company sticker and phone number on a gas appliance, first make sure that this gas fired hot water heater, furnace or other appliance is not going to kill somebody. In this video, this home’s rooms did not have cold air returns. The only single cold air return was located in the l furnace and hot water heater closet. When you turn on the furnace in this home, the furnace sucks all the air out of this very small utility closet. This small utility closest also has a gas hot water heater. The two small make-up door registers located on the closet doors and the one small register located in the upper wall are simply not enough. These small door registers are supposed to help bring fresh air into this small utility room. The cold air return on the furnace sucks all the air out of this room causing major negative pressure. This negative pressure is so extreme, that make up air comes back down the chimney flue, and spills out of the water heater vent draft hood. This causes water heater exhaust fume spillage, burner chamber oxygen depletion, and incomplete combustion, which all result in CO carbon monoxide production. When somebody dies in this home, the survior may have a lawsuit. All they have to do is call their lawyer and give the law firm the name and number on the sticker. This particular contractor had a sticker on the furnace and hot water heater. If you are going to put company stickers on gas appliances that you install, repair, or maintain, make sure they don’t kill or make people sick. To repair this, you need to add cold air retunes to several rooms, slightly pressurize the utility closet, change utility closet doors to louvered doors, and buy a low level carbon monoxide detector. Center of the World by Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk

Center of the World is an unincorporated community in far eastern Braceville Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. It consists of several houses and a few retail establishments centered at the crossroads where State Routes 82 and 5 diverge. The center of the world has many attractions, one being the haunted abandoned Gateway Motel. The rooms are free with no taxes or gratuities needed. The rooms come with many accommodations. Several of the rooms are air conditioned and have missing doors. The kids will like the zoo rooms because they come with birds, mice, squirrels, and raccoons. Some of the rooms are a bit dirty and wearing your handy gas mask respirator is advised. The main house has a community indoor basement swimming pool. You can access this pool from the interior or exterior. The exterior basement steps lead to the pool under the main house. This indoor pool is only 5 feet deep and has several different rooms; So Marko Polo becomes a great game for the kids. The locals are also great entertainers. They cut trees down with hand axes for your enjoyment. Pack a lunch, because it could take a local 3-4 hours to watch a Center Of the World Local cut down a Silver Maple. If you are a camera tourist, make sure you stand out of the trees falling path.
I am quite sure some of you think I am making this whole thing up. Go ahead and Google and you will see that all the scenes I showed and the scenes that I will still show are real and all located in the Center
of the World in Southern Ohio USA with exception of some added satire. If you get lost and cannot find the “enter of the World”, just ask the locals. The locals are very nice and helpful. The Center of the World ( Earth) has great shopping for cloths, souvenirs, furniture and they even give away free kittens. If you want a country haircut you can even visit the famous Center of the World salon, If you looking for excitement, you can visit the gun shop or just walk around and enjoy the festive front yard displays. The town also has a famous geodesic home which the locals consider to be an architecture wonder. If you like old homes you must visit the Historic House District. You can enter this particular century home through the front door or you can enter this home through the front window. I personally like the front window entrance. You can skip your visit to New York City because the Center of the World has its own smaller version of the Statue of Liberty. After a full adventurous day, you can take a swim at one of the neighborhood pools and if you have toddles, no worry, they have toddler pools too.

So get out your calendars and book a weekend at the Center of the World. You do not need a travel agent and you will not need a lot of money. Thank you, this is Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk from http://

Famous artist seen in Richmond Heights Ohio By Home Inspector Marko Vovk

Famous artists Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, or George August Zetzer may still be alive and living right next door. Just because a $5 add in the obituaries states someone is dead, does not mean they are dead. In Chesterland News, the obituary stated that famous artist George August Zetzer passed on July 4, 2012. Cleveland home inspector Marko Vovk found George to be alive and well displaying his artwork on his front lawn the city of Richmond Heights. Maybe George had to die so the city of Richmond Heights “curb appeal green grass front lawn cronies” would get off his back. Who defined “nice curb appeal” as cut green grass and trimmed bushes? When I get out of my car during summer afternoons in suburban neighborhoods to inspect a home, I hear lawn mowers cutting grass, irrigation systems sprinkling water, and weed whackers waking. I truly believe that Green Grass, one of mans stupidest inventions, is a conspiracy to waste our time and money. George August Zetzer is spending his time on art and self expression. People go to the museum to see paintings of melting clocks, cables soup, and trees painted with brushes. In Richmond heights, you can see live trees with hanging paint brushes. It is truly amazing that our society promotes self expression and individualism, accepts facial piercing, tattooed heads, and destructive music, and frowns on people who do not have irrigated green grass, perfect world syndrome front yards. George August Zetzer you are a true artist and a dying breed because the dumbed down, collective, know-no-better. We may not agree with all George’s art messages, but that’s makes him a artist and distinguishes him from Mr. Jones who lives across the street, who spends his Saturdays cutting green grass and watering flowerbeds.

Black Mold on Wood Joists by Cleveland Home Inspector Marko Vovk

Cleveland home inspector explains the reason you have mold (mould) growing on your basement joists, basement sheathing, and other basement timbers. This surface “black mold” and other colored moulds are very common in old houses and new homes. Forest trees are cut down and the logs are sent to the “saw mill” to be cut. This wood is sawn into joists, rafters, studs, and beams. This wood is also sent wood processing plants to be fabricated into plywood, OSB, press wood, laminated wood, engineered wood, micro lambs, and TGI’s. These finished timber products are then delivered to the lumber yard and stores like “Forest City” “Home depot” Lowes, Menards, and others. Regardless, whether the storage facility is interior or exterior, these storage areas generally have some moisture and some humidity. Additionally, the wood is still fresh due to it being recently cut and may still during out. Mold spores are everywhere and they will grow on any cellulose product if permitted. These freshly cut stored timbers which may still be drying out are made of cellulose. Mold spores attach and begin to grow. This fresh wood is then purchased and installed in new homes and new additions. During construction, the basements are wet, moist, humid, and dark. These are perfect environments for fungal amplification or mold growth. After the new windows, roof, doors, and siding installations are complete, the interior house moisture becomes trapped. This trapped moisture becomes much larger after the drywall, joint compound, and painting work have been completed. Additionally moist air is lighter than dry air and it rises just like when water evaporates from wet grass to form rain storm clouds. The upper basement joist areas are cool, dark, moist, and enriched with mold spores and the mold continues to grow on the surface of the wood. Sometimes, the mold is black, white, yellows or even fuzzy. Testing the mold is generally a waste of money. If you see mold, smell mold, its mold.
After the home dries out, and the homes humidity level is lowered, this surface mold no longer grows or amplifies. This surface mold can be easily washed, cleaned, and sanitized.
When you build a new home or a new addition, it is very important to run the AC and to run the dehumidifier so you can dry the new home quicker.
If you have an older home, you need to identity the moisture source or the moisture generator and remove it. Sometimes it is as simple as conditioning a crawl space which would includes a 100% sealed vapor barrier, printer insulation, heating and dehumanizing, , sealing the sump pump with a 100% sealed lid, removing ventless appliances, or running a basement dehumidifier.

Women in Home has shock static electricity and her hair stands up

Women in Home have shock static electricity and her hair stands up. Houses with static electricity. We received a phone call from Cleveland women who had a complaint about energy forces that cause static shock electricity in her home. She said her entire house has an electrical charge that makes her hair stand up, and her eye brows stick to her forehead

The nice young lady told us that her cloths cling, she has frizz hair, and she always feels uncomfortable. She also stated that she believes that the new roof she had just installed had something to due with her static shocking daily odd pain. She also stated that other females or girl friends who visit her home feel the same static sensation and most men that visit the home do not feel the static sensation. During the house inspection, we were told that the neighbor cut trees down that were located on the south. This permitted more heat form the southern sun. We were also told their roofer removed two layers of shingles. The new thinner installed layer of shingles along with the hot sun permitted the attic to get hotter transferring more heat to the second level ceiling. This meant that the AC ran longer permitting more house dehumidification. Air conditioners lower the indoor humid which is very desirable for creating house static electricity. The Cleveland home was full of cloth products, furniture, boxes, and other stored stuff that were acting as capacitors that were storing electrons. Furthermore, the stored material also sucked, absorbed, and pulled moisture “grains of water” out of the air contributing to home’s lower humidity conditions… Furthermore, this nice Cleveland women stated that she rarely sits down and keeps busy all day cleaning, doing chores, cleaning, and walking around in her home. She had a rug, carpet, or floor runner in every room.

She walked around the home 12 hours per day in her rubber soled tennis shoes. The walking on carpets along with low humidity charged up her body and charged up everything she touched and everything she moved. When you move an object across a carpet, you charge that object with electrons. When you touch the charged object, the electrons jump to your body. Finally, the beddings were cloth, the furniture was cloth, and she became the homes largest capacitor.
In static homes, you need to lower the humidity, de clutter the home, remove carpets if possible, wear leather sole shoes or go bare feet and put a few coins in your pocket. Every couple hours grab a coin out of your pocket and touch something metal to neutralize the charge in your body.

Water in furnace when AC on can cause carbon monoxide, rust and other HVAC problems

Hello this Marko Vovk from http://housinvestigations.com.
If water is dripping or leaking out of your furnace, HVAC, or Heat pump while the AC air conditioner is running, you most probably have a blocked condensate drain pipe. Grains of moisture are taken out of the warm house air as the air moves across the coils which carry the refrigerant that is located inside your furnace. These grains of moisture condensate onto these coils. This lowers the indoor humidity, dehumidifies, and provides cool conditioned air. This condensate drips into a drain pan and is discharged. If this drain pan is dirty, or the discharge pipe is plugged, clogged, or cracked, water overflows and backs up into your furnace. This problem can also be caused be the fan speed, problem coolant fluid levels, or other issues. This is why you need to call a trained HVAC man. This dripping water can short out your HVAC circuit board, it can rust your heat exchanger, and it can create rust in your heat exchanger burner orifices. This can potentially created incomplete combustion during the heating season which can result in carbon monoxide poisoning. If your furnace is leaking, turn off the AC, dry up everything you can dry up, plug in your Home Depot dehumidifier, and call your certified HVAC contractor. Additionally, make sure that the company you call is also combustion CO Carbon monoxide certified so they can perform a combustion analysis test on your heating unit so it will not cause carbon monoxide poisoning.
