Your Electrical Panel Can Burn Down Your House

Your electrical panel can burn down your house. Hidden problems in electrical panels can burn down homes. Most basements have negative pressure caused by cold air returns are not sealed with furnace tape. These return ducts with small holes suck your basement, especially, if the door leading to the basement is closed. These depressurized basements suck, air from wall cracks, appliance vents, fireplaces, sump pumps, and electrical panels which is the focal point of this Marko Vovk video. Basement foundation walls are colder because they are underground and the unconditioned sucked in warm – moist air condensates within the cold electrical panel causing rust. Rusted panels can cause fires. Many electricians misdiagnose rusted or corrode panels as water leaking in or dripping in. Repairing these problems is simple. Seal the basement cold air returns, open several basement supply heat registers to help slightly pressurize basement, change the door to the basement to a louvered door and remove the rust form electrical panel. Conditioned Crawl Space Must Be De-Humidified

Video shows how the “Stimulus” money is being spent. Millions of dollars are being spent on insulating low income households. Contractors are doing poor, sloppy, and unacceptable work. Many contractors are not properly conditioning crawl spaces. These free insulation installation jobs that are done for the low income homes will cause some homes to slowly deteriorate. When these contractors change the original vented crawl space to a conditioned crawl space, they are sometimes installing double vapor barriers, they are not installing the necessary crawl space de-humidification, and they are not sealing sump pump lids 100%. . The result is mold, condensation, odor, poor indoor air quality, and finally deterioration When you change a vented crawl space to a conditioned crawl space, you need to install a single 100% sealed vapor barrier on the ground and up all exterior foundation walls, install rigid perimeter insulation on exterior walls only, and finally heat and de-humidify. The crawl space should be treated like your living room.

Cultured Stone Cladding THE TRUTH

Cultured Stone, veneer, faux or other fabricated stone cladding systems, may be leaking, infiltrating or permitting moisture, water or vapor intrusion. Many of these homes have hidden; inner wall, interstitial, insulation, band joist, sill plate, sole plate, joist, or wall deterioration. Additionally, certified home inspectors who perform moisture investigation evaluations are also finding insects, termite, carpenter ant, mold or musty odor problems. These siding products were specified by architects and were poorly installed by contractors. These installations were similar to the EIFS (Exterior Insulated Finish System) holocaust, epidemic, and crisis, which resulted in class action lawsuits against builders, developers and Dryvit Manufacturers. Installers failed to place the proper drainage plane, drainage space, capillary break, window flashing, door flashing, weep hole, or rain screen. In these poor installations, water or vapor travel from the exterior to the interior of from the interior to the exterior through gravity, surface tension, capillary suction, absorption, solar vapor diffusion and air pressure. Many of these homes, similar to the synthetic stucco homes, will require full moisture surveys to determine if replacement repairs are necessary. Most repairs will result is a 100% tear off removal. House Odor FUN VIDEO

The truth about ICE DAMS

Popping House Zits

Exterior paint blisters, peeling, and cracking paint that occur on older homes may be the cause of high indoor humidity. High indoor humidity is caused by indoor moisture generators such as a running furnace humidifier, a ventless heater, a dirt crawl space, a leaking dryer vent, a bathroom fan not properly exhausting, and much more. When the homes indoor humidity is higher than the exterior humidity, and grains of water travel through the walls to the exterior through a veichal called vapor diffusion. Older houses have many layers of paint that act like a plastic vapor barrier that does not let the house breath. In the winter, it is colder and dew point temperature is reached on the backside of the many layers of paint. Condensation occurs and water starts to accumulate like a water balloon until it pops like a zit and leaks out. Marko Vovk ClevelandMold, ClevelandMarko <a href="http://

Mold The Truth We have all been scammed

Mold is overrated. People in the USA and Canada have been scammed into paying a lot of money to have mold tested, cleaned, removed, disinfected, sanitized or mitigated. Many insurance companies have been paying out big bucks for mold clean up and water extraction to de-watering contractors and mold mitigations companies. If you see mold, smell mold, you have mold. Laboratory testing for black toxic or non-toxic mold, fungi, or mildew spores are usually unnecessary. Moisture problems from roof, plumbing, foundation, siding, EIFS, stucco, Cultured Stone, brick, or other building moisture intrusion, infiltration or leakage such sewer back-up, overflow, and sump pump failure, all need to be repaired prior to mold removal. Additionally, high indoor humidity needs to be lowered with the use of a de-humidifier. Finally, other indoor moisture generators such as sump pumps that do not have 100% seal covers, ventless heaters, fireplaces, and appliances, vented crawl space, wet basement, wet crawl space, and furnace humidifier also all need to be controlled. IAQ indoor air problems occur in damp houses. Marko Vovk ClevelandMold, ClevelandMarko Ambassador Construction Consultants LLC.
